newsletterThe Francophonic Festival for the 5th time in Warsaw is promoting French music, let it be the famous chanson, electro music or the French pop and world music. Various concerts across Warsaw are thought not only for the French expats but also for all French music fans.

March 18th, Klub Stodola

Monika Brodka, one of the most talented raising music stars at the Polish scene. Her latest album Granda reached the platin status. Brodka sings both in French and Polish drawing her inspirations from folk music adding a contemporary touch.

Oh La La! French rock’n’roll in a new version with electronic notes and inspirations from Iggy Pop. French critics claim Natasha Lejeune the best vocal of the current French rock.

Poney Express has been created by bas guitarist Robin Felix and charismatic Anna Berthe. It is a French response to the contemporary music of XXI century. The lyrics are very poetics and the psochedlic music addes an energetic rock touch.

March 19th, Fabryka Trzciny

Feloche’s album La vie Cajun is the winning debut on a French music scene.

Melissa Laveaux has been named a music sister of Tracy Chapman and Ayo. Canadian raised Haitian artist became quickly a symbol of the contemporary francophone, a voice of tolerance, love and freedom.

Pako Sarr started his music career in Senegal as a reggae drummer. Now, he lives and works in Poland becoming the best known African musician in the country.

March 24th, Klub Palladium

Nouvelle Vague has become famous covering the biggest English hits from the 80’s.

La Boétie duet started as a cooperation for various film projects. Now they created a debut music album Somewhere Underneath.

March 25th, Klub Kamieniolomy

Turzi has been claimed a true music personality. His first album A from 2007 marked a new step in the music scene of psycho noveau, while the second album B builds upon the psychedelic  tradition.

Acid Washed was brought to life back in 2009 continuing and developing Daft Punk’s genre of French touch music.
