AIESEC student organisation at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) is organising a Cross-Cultural Understanding Conference in Warsaw for the 14th time. Students and interns from all around the world will talk about their cultures at several high schools in Warsaw. The mission of the project is to promote tolerant society without prejudices.
The project will run throughout February and March this year and is aimed to young Polish people to build their intercultural competence, give them opportunity to get accustomed with other cultures, broaden their horizons and break stereotypes.
The whole project is run by 18 international students and interns from 5 different continents, who volunteered to deliver presentations about their local cultures to their younger Polish colleagues.
The first week, so called Opening Week, is designed to prepare future lecturers for their future work. Students of the Warsaw School of Economics and members of the Local Committee of AIESEC Warszawa SGH are organising social events, workshops and other trainings to allow the volunteers to gain necessary knowledge on human rights, art of presentation, methods of running classes and Polish culture beforehand.
Project partners, acknowledged organisations and companies, such as Amnesty International, Mitsubishi or GRMG, who are supporting the vision of the project, are organizing professional seminars and lectures for the volunteers as well.
